Drawing upon the original beach shack vernacular of the area, the design makes use of crisp white weatherboards and timber-look blades, adapting the beachside aesthetic into a multi-residential development. Balcony-height horizontal bands of cladding and inset windows and screens between floors create strong repeating design elements, unifying the varied floorplates into one cohesive design.

The development accommodates a mix of apartment sizes and layouts, with retail at ground level to activate the street frontage.
On a difficult and unused corner site, the design responds to its context, tying in with the larger apartment buildings along Pine Tree Lane, while tapering down towards the lower scale development on Ash Street. The design preserves existing view corridors, while still providing 70% of the units with expansive ocean views from the living areas. The design works to contribute to the desired future character of Terrigal, while respecting the existing aesthetic.
