External screened walkways and large balconies provide residents with views to surrounding parklands and communal landscaped courtyards.
The building mass is carefully divided into smaller forms that echo the finer lot grain to the north of the site. This articulation along with the integration of external screened walkways allows for natural sunlight and cross ventilation to almost 100% of the units and is critical to the success and overall livability of the development. The use of a landscaped entry corridor between the two buildings on Union Street, leads through to a large central park and establishes a dialogue with the parkland opposite the site. With careful consideration to both the built and landscaped environment the overall design provides a greater aesthetic quality for the future development of Cooks Hill.
