Opening its doors in 1956, the Savoy Theatre was once the Central Coast’s largest movie theatre.
The Savoy Theatre was once the Central Coast’s largest movie theatre. Opening its doors in 1956, it hosted the region’s only CinemaScope and provided an entertainment hub in the post-World War 2 environment.
In 2016, CKDS was commissioned to revitalise the old theatre. The mezzanine and projection space had been largely unutilised since 1976 when the cinema had closed.
